Share a Smile Blog Hop
Welcome to our Share a Smile Blog Hop!
We will be featuring this month's Promotion featuring Punny Pals, a set of 36 stamps. If you have come here from Melissa's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
With the purchase of every Punny Pals stamp set, Close To My Heart donates $7 USD of the proceeds to Operation Smile™, an organization that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children around the world. To bring these stamp images to life, we’ve made a coordinating set of Thin Cuts dies and an exclusive card kit! The card kit includes the dies, card bases, envelopes, paper, and step-by-step instructions for creating 32 cards, and it is available at a discounted price!
This month we have approximately 19 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this fabulous stamp set which supports Operation Smile, and other great CTMH products on their blogs. Now onto the blog hop, and this is so simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
I decided to go with some 3*3 cards, and just kept them really simple. A Halloween Birthday times 2
I am a very lucky person to still have 1 of my grandparents alive. My nanny is my rock, and as a child it was my favorite place to visit in the summer.
Every morning I would have coffee and toast with her, and we would bake pies or bread(something I haven't conquered without my bread maker machine)!
My nanny was born on Halloween, but what is better than that is that she has a twin sister. Do you know how hard it is to find a birthday card for a Halloween birthday? Or for a twin sister?
So, that is where I come in! I made my nanny a card to send to her sister, Edna in Ontario.
I used our colour of year cardstock, Bashful, and the new Rose Embossing Folder to create the base of this card. I highlighted the design using the gold shimmer brush. Using my piercing tool I added a stitched design to the matted sentiment.
I also embossed the flap of the envelope through the Rose embossing folder. I have a few coloured envelopes in my possession from Paper Garden, and I was lucky enough to have a 5x7 that was almost an exact match to our Bashful.
For the inside sentiment, I wanted it to be fun, so I stamped the Happy Halloween, Happy Birthday sentiment from the Just to Say stamp set, the the Twin Sister is stamped from the Curlicue Alphabet stamp set, both are from the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection.
I hope you enjoyed my Halloween/Birthday card.

October SOTM Blog Hop - Christmas Tunes
We will be featuring October's SOTM, which is Christmas Tunes, a set of 7 stamps. If you have come here from Wendy's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
This month we have approximately 26 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
My first card, I started with Cranberry cardstock as my base piece, I also stamped the ornament in versamark ink and heat embossed in Gold. I used multiple patterns from the Beary Christmas paper collection for both cards. The 2nd color of cardstock used is Glacier which also appears in the collection. I added a piece of ribbon with gold accent and a bow.
This 2nd card I Heat Embossed using White Pigment Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Vellum. I added color to the vellum by using our watercolor paints. For accents I used Silver Shimmer Trim, and Bitty Sparkles.
