Cross Canada Blog Hop - What we Love about Spring

Welcome to our March Blog Hop featuring artwork inspired by What we Love About Spring. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, plus it just so happens that I'm the first stop when hopping from East Coast to West Coast. If you came from Kristine's blog, Life Documented, then you are in the right place!

I just love spring, the grass turns green, the robins and other animals come back, and we have Easter.  My kids are still fairly young, so we have Easter egg hunts.  This year however, I don't think they will be outdoors, that is unless we get some warm weather and the snow melts.  Here are a few Easter cards I made for this hop.

This first card uses a mixture of papers from the current paper collections, some pink twine and Pattern 21 from MIFYH Volume 4.  I used the Easter Animals stamp set and the Easter Basket stamp.  I stamped the images in Memento and colored them using the Watercolor Pencils.  I did some blending with the waterbrush.  I little doodling around the sentiment and done.

For my second card I used the same pattern and mixed up some different patterns, added a splash of watercolor pencils blended behind the sentiment and some enamels and it is a whole different card.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Colleen's blog, Stressed is just Desserts spelled backwards.

If you get lost along the way, you can come right back here:

Michelle You Are Here
Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when we will be featuring Celebrations. So mark April 15th on your calendars and hop along with us.

Introducing Stargazer 1 Sheet Wonder 20 card Workshop

I'm so very excited to be announcing the release of my Stargazer 1 Sheet Wonder 20 Card Workshop.

I really enjoyed creating this workshop, the cute astronaut, super boy and super girl were fun to create.

I used colors found in the paper collection and chose to use the Watercolor pencils as my medium, but you are free to choose which medium you want.

What I love about this workshop is that there are 5 designs, with 4 of each card being created.  That means that you as a consultant can teach this workshop in a number of ways.  You can have 1 cutting guide per person, so they would create 20 cards.  You could have it for 2 people, they would each create 10 cards, 2 of each design, or you could teach it to 4 people, creating 1 of each design.

It's really up to you.  Now lets have a closer look at each card.

March SOTM Blog Hop - Birthday Time

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, text

We will be featuring Month's SOTM, which is title, a set of 26 stamps.  If you have come here from Melissa Robinson's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

No automatic alt text available.

This month we have approximately 26 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I decided to make a birthday invitation using this month's stamp set.  I really love Peacock and Lagoon together, and so I paired them up for the invitation.  I started with a Peacock cardstock for the base and the mat for the sentiment.  I created a background paper using another stamp, stamped in 2nd generation Peacock in, and matted that with Lagoon cardstock.  The sentiment, Super Birthday Party is stamped in Lagoon ink, and I doodled around the edges.  I used some left over(retired) blue enamels for embellishment.

I didn't have a chance to finish the inside of the invitation, my family is under the attach of a flu bug.  I will add the inside in another post.

Now "Hop" on over to Catherine Nowak's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Month SOTM is only available until Month 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!
