This first card I started by heat embossing in White a random pattern  using multiple stamps from the set.  Next I did some ink smooshing using Abandoned Coral and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxides.  I heat embossed the sentiment in White and inked over the sentiment in Abaondoned coral Distress Oxide Ink.  I used the Stitched Simple Bracket for the sentiment and popped it using 3D foam tape.

For my second card, I stamped the sentiment first and heat embossed in White, than using the large flower I stamped and heat embossed again in White.  Then using the Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink and the Blending Tool I sponged ink onto the cardstock.  This technique is called ink resist.  Finally just to give it some flare, I splattered Clear Shimmer Brush all over the front of the card.

I created 2 cards for tonight's blog hop.  The left card is using Blue Belle Pattern from the current Mix In collection and then I pulled in the Square Stitched Frame Die in White Daisy and the mat is in Desert Rose.  The sentiment is embossed in White Embossing Powder.  The right card also uses White Embossing but this is stamped on Raspberry cardstock.  I wanted some shimmer or glitz, so splattered Clear Shimmer Brush onto this card.

This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I really wanted to create just more than one card for this hop, but life got in the way. I always have fun creating my own backgrounds, and this one was lots of fun.  I started with Blue Belle cardstock and Ink.  I used Elegant Snowflakes which is available with or without the Thin Cuts.  For this card I just used the stamps and random stamped the 3 medium and 3 small snowflakes.  The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock in Blue Belle Ink.  I snuck a piece of white Shimmer Trim under the sentiment.  I added doodle lines and inked the edges of the banner.  I also added Clear Stickles in the center of the tiny snowflakes.

Now "Hop" on over to Melinda's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Makers at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas! Remember, this catalog is only available until December 31st, or while supplies last.  Contact your CTMH Maker (or click here) to show any of the items you see throughout the hop.

November SOTM Blog Hop - You Warm My Heart

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring November's SOTM, You Warm My Heart, a set of 19 stamps.  If you have come here from Cat's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 22 Close To My Heart Makers sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my first card I started by choosing the Black and White plaid print from the Jingle Joy collection. I backed it with a Black Cardstock mat.  The sentiment is stamped in Black Ink along with the mini Poinsettia which is stamped in Flamingo Ink.  I added doodle lines and matted it on Evergreen Cardstock.  The coffee cup is stamped in Raspberry Ink and I added some Silver Embellishing Thread to help embellish the card.

For my second card I wanted to pull in some wood grain paper, and I had this pattern sitting on my workspace so it's what I went with(LOL).  I matted the wood grain on Evergreen cardstock.  The coffee cup is stamped in Evergreen Ink.  I stamped the Candy Cane in Raspberry Ink and tucked the bottom in behind the cup.  I decided that the card needed a little colour so I pulled in the Candy Cane print from the Jingle Joy paper collection.  The sentiment is stamped on Evergreen cardstock and I embossed it in White(as Karen would say, "When in doubt emboss in White").  I used the Stitched Bracket for the sentiment and also added the mini poinsettia in the corners to finish the frame.  I felt it still needed a little something something, and pulled out the Silver Embellishing Thread again and tucked it behing the sentiment.

Now "Hop" on over to the artwork of Melinda to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 22 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using some great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

This first card is using multiple Mixed Media mediums.  I started with Distress Oxides in Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.  Once I had those layered I added some Gloss Spray in Fuchsia and Turquoise. The final step was taking the Black Soot Distress Oxide and mixing it with some Texture Paste, I also added some Solar Flare Stickles Gel to add some glitter to the brick pattern.  The stencil was created using a layout cut from the Artbooking Cricut collection. Then I used some stamps and thin cut sets to finish off the card.  The Pennant Banner Alphabet and Spooky Gnomes.

This second card I skipped the Distrss Oxides as my 1st step and went right to the Gloss Sprays.  I just love the look of the brick stencil for backgrounds on these spooky cards. For both Spooky Gnomes cards I used Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.

These last 2 cards use the same Stencil from Stencil 1 Pack.  The card on the left is using texture paste mixed with Picked Raspberry Distresss Oxides on Black cardstock.  The card on the right is using the Distress Oxides applied directly to the White Daisy cardstock.  When you blend the Picked Raspberry with the Peacock Feathers you get a lovely shade of purple.  I added Gold Glitter Gems and Gold Embellishing Thread to finish the card on the right.

Now "Hop" on over to Melinda Everitt's Blog to see her fabulous artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! October SOTM Blog Hop - With All My Love

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring October's SOTM, With All My Love, a set of 16 stamps.  If you have come here from Wendy Kessler's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 19 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For this 1st card I started with Raspberry cardstock and stamped an image along the right edge, then tore the cardstock.  I flipped the one side showing the darker shade of Raspberry.  The sentiment is stamped on the 2nd largest of the Stitched Circle Thin Cuts and popped up with 3D foam tape, and I added some silver Embellishing Thread for an accent.  The flower is fussy cut out and coloured using the Alpine Green Blend and the Pale Pink Shades Spectrum Noir markers.  I finished off the card by adding some White Dots.

For this 2nd card I started by random stamping in Versamark and using clear embossing powder.  Next I pulled the Rare Minerals Metallic Markers from Spectrum Noir.  They really show on black cardstock.  I outlined the banner in the Blue marker.

This final card is also heat embossed and then instead of applying the metallic directly to the cardstock, I used a waterpaint technique using the waterbrush and applying the ink from the markers like paint.  I then took White Dots and coloured those using the Metallic Markers, tip though, really let those dry because it takes much longer than the alcohol markers.

Now "Hop" on over to Brenda Lapp's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
