If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create.   If you came from Donna's Blog of Diary of a Scrapbook Addict then you are in the right place!

My project is a Valentine's Day Card I made for my grandmother. I used a technique called "Triple Stamping" that I had seen done on a Youtube video, I can't seem to find the link, but it's pretty simple to do. I started with my card base and moved the dimensions in a 1/4" , then I cut a mat for the next stamped piece at a 1/2" smaller with the stamped cs at 1/4" smaller again, and then the same procedure again for the top layer.
I used Lagoon and Ruby Cardstock to make this card, and I used the single rose stamp off the SOTM Happy Valentine's Day, and stamped it using Versamark ink at a random pattern....then since the Versamark ink stays wet longer I had enough time to add the Black Embossing Powder to the images. Then I used the craft heater to heat the embossing powder which raises the image and gives it a bit of shine. My 8 year old daughter asked if she could help, and so she colored in the roses using the Tulip Alcohol Markers for me. Thank you Jaymee. I then took a little bit of Black reinker and added it to my spray pen and added a little distressing to the card, I blotted it with a sponge to help with the distressing. This is my very first time using heat embossing and the triple stamp technique, I think it turned out well, and I can only improve. If you would like the actual dimensions I used you can leave me a comment and I can send them to you.
I'm the last stop on this hop!
