Sympathy cards

I really dislike having to make sympathy cards.  I am always second guessing my choices, but I'm really happy with how these cards turned out.

I needed to make these cards for my childhood friend and her family, after they lost her grandmother. I spent many summers with them at their lakeside cottage, and they were like a second family to me, so I really wanted them to be nice.

Both cards I used the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder, the first one I distressed by sanding to reveal the white cord.

  1. These are beautiful sympathy cards Michelle. I thought your first one was patterned paper, the sanding on the black is quite striking!
