April SOTM Blog Hop - Love So Sweet

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Image may contain: text

We will be featuring April's SOTM, which is Love So Sweet, a set of 26 stamps.  If you have come here from Krista Hershberger's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

No photo description available.

This month we have approximately 18 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my project I didn't want to use any of the paper collections.  I chose to show how well this stamp set works for creating your own background pattern.  I used SugarPlum, Heather and White Daisy cardstock. the ink color are Heather, SugarPlum and Black.  I also coloured the butterflies in using the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush. This set of 6 cards came together so quickly, and the stamp set has such diversity.  What will you create?

Now "Hop" on over to Melissa Robinson's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the April SOTM is only available until April 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Introducing Jack 1 Sheet Wonder 20 Card Workshop

With my first 2 workshops being so successful with my customers I had to jump right in and start designing another workshop. My customers were asking for a masculine collection, and Jack fits that perfectly.

My workshop is based on being able to teach my customers how to create the maximum amount of cards from a single sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper.

My workshop will create 20 cards with 5 different designs. For my this workshop I used the first pattern from the Jack collection. These cards are very versatile and I see multiple uses for these cards.

Now lets take a look at each one of the cards.

January Blog Hop: Valentine's Inspiration - Cross Canada

Welcome to our January Blog Hop featuring Valentine’s Inspiration.  To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Julie in Newfoundland and hop across Canada. It just so happens she is the stop before me too.

For this first card, I used a strip of pattern from the Brushed paper pack, pink shimmer trim and slate cardstock.  I used the Heart Embossing folder and then lightly sanded the hearts.  The sentiment and image is from Forever in my Heart (C1604).

This card was really fun to put together, I used Pear, Hollyhock, Cranberry and Canary cardstock, all colors found in the Brushed Paper pack. I used the Heart Embossing folder.  I did a little doodling with my journaling pen, and added some puffies.  The heart and banner are from January's SOTM.

For this card I used some patterned paper from Ariana. I really liked the wreath that is featured on page 17 of Seasonal Expressions (1st edition) and attempted to follow the directions.  I really liked how soft it looked once done. I matted it on Hollyhock cardstock, added some doodled borders and a little bling.  The stamp is called Happy to Be Friends (C1605).

I tried it again using the colors that they called for, and used Hollyhock and Glacier cardstock.  I ran the Glacier through my cuttlebug with the Heart Embossing folder and then distressed the edges and embossed hearts with Glacier ink.  I doodled along the edge of the circle, and also inked the edges of the banner in Glacier ink.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd.

Easter Cards( a little late posting)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter Weekend.  I was a little under the weather and didn't get to post some of the cards I had created to give to my family and friends.  So I'm sharing them with you today.

These are just a few of my latest creations. The first 2 photos are creations that I made using cards from our current catalog for inspiration.  I used the the Quatrefoil and Chevron Embossing folders and sanded the embossed area to reveal the white core.

This second card I used the Tone on Tone technique to stamp the vine to create my own background.  For the background of the sentiment, I swiped the cardstock right over the top of my ink pads to add color.  I used the Alcohol Markers and Alcohol Blending Pen to color the flowers.
These cards were so much fun to color.  I absolutely love the Some Bunny Stamp set.  For the cards on the left and bottom I used an overlay found on the newest Cricut Collection, Artbooking.  The other card is made using the Lollydoodle paper and the Quatrefoil Embossing folder for some texture.
