This month we have approximately 21 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my project I wanted to go with the theme of the stamp set, seeds!  So I went on the hunt for some flower seeds.  Then I had to decide on colors.  I wanted to keep it soft, springtime!  I used our color of the year Bashful.

I used the rose embossing folder with the Bashful cardstock and then went over the embossed image with the gold shimmer brush.  I stamped the image in Black ink, and the sentiment and heart in Bashful. For the heart, I stamped the image 3 times to get a deeped color, and is raised using a glue dot.

I used glue dots to secure the package of seeds to the White Daisy cardstock, and then used the Blush Shimmer Ribbon for my tab to pull out the seed package.  To create the notch at the top of the envelope, I used the 1" circle punch and only used half a circle, creating the notch.

Now "Hop" on over to Melinda's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the November SOTM is only available until November 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

AHSC #90 Mother's Day Card

Wow, these past 2 weeks have really taken there toll on me.  I'm just completely exhausted, and was in need of some rest.  So I apologize for being extremely late in posting my creation for this week's sketch. However on top of creating for this weeks sketch, I also have created projects for 2 blog hops.

Here is this weeks sketch:

Here is my creation:

I started with a piece of patterned paper from the Brushed paper packet and Canary Cardstock.  The sentiment and flowers are from the stamp set Flowers for Mom (B1473) found in the 1st edition of Seasonal Expressions.  The mat for the sentiment is Pixie cardstock.  To achieve the look of the smaller flowers peeking out behind the large ones I stamped the larger flowers on some scrap paper, trimmed them out and layered the so that they look layered.  This is one way in which to do the masking technique. The flowers in the stamp set have 2 types of stamps, the outline and the filler.  The outline is stamped in black, and for the filler I used Pixie and Hollyhock ink.  The 3 flowers off to the side are in the same colors, however, the top one is stamped in 2nd generation Hollyhock.  The flower centers are stamped in Canary.  The mat and flowers are all popped using 3D foam tape.

I hope you will now hop on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and see the creative talents of our design team.

Happy thoughts with AHSC #66

I've been able to get quite a bit of craft time lately and I've been playing with some new product.  Wow, are you all going to love the new Stuff in the Annual Inspirations Catalogue.

Here is this week's sketch:

It's a somewhat simply design with so many options.  This sketch is wide open to interpretation.

Here is what I've come up with:

I've used one of our new paper packs, Brushed as my base for this card, and layered 2 rows of Honey Triangle washi tape to create the strip (I think if I was to do this again, I would of applied it to white cardstock first so that it stands out more). I used A Budding Friendship (D1602) to stamp the flowers, leaves and stems. The flowers are stamped in 3 of our new colour inks, Canary, Pixie and Flaxen(the centers).  The Pixie flower is layered, and the bottom flower I created more depth by adding some shading using out new markers, Cherry Pink and Tender Pink. The leaves are Pear, and the stems I used the Markers, Sap Green and Leaf Green. The Pink flower is popped with 3D Foam Tape to add dimension, and the leafs I curled using my bone folder. See below for a close up on the pink flower.
