June Cross Canada Blog Hop - Use Up Your Stash

Welcome to our June Blog Hop featuring artwork where we've used our stash mixed with new products. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, I'm also the first stop when you are hopping across Canada.

At first I was really unsure about what I would use to create my project for this blog hop....but then an email was sent home from my oldest daughter's school saying that the guidance counselor was retiring, and there are a few teachers moving to other schools.  Jaymee asked if I could make a retirement card for her to take in.  So now I have a theme.

So I pulled the No Worries Cardmaking stamp set which is the New product I used, it also has a coordinating Thin Cut.  I pulled my scrap box out to set what I had for older retired product, and found some Seaside paper(which I loved and wished I had more of).  I pulled a few colors from the collection.  I used a piece of Lagoon for the mat for the images and sentiment. The umbrella is stamped in Crystal Blue and Smoothie, I used Saffron ink for the lounge chair.  The sentiment is just stamped in Black ink.  The umbrella and chair were cut out using the thin cuts, and then I paper pieced the Crystal Blue onto the Smoothie cut.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Colleen, who is also in Nova Scotia, actually just on the other side of the Halifax Harbour.

Team Brae-er's Blog Hop - No Worries

Welcome to the Brae-er's Team Blog Hop, this month we are creating artwork using the No Worries paper collection.

If you have just come from the fabulous Emily's blog then you are in the right place.

I started with a Sapphire mat for the woodgrain, which I also used at a mat for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Prickly Pear cardmaking stamp set.  I added doodling along the sentiment, and the banners are pieces of scrap from one of the pocket cards in this collection.  The enamel gems are actually white that I coloured with 2 blue shades of alcohol markers to create a marbled effect.  Just a simple masculine birthday card.

Now you can continue hopping along by visiting Sheena's blog.

Celebrating a milestone, 100th Birthday Cards

So recently my friend asked me to create some unique birthday cards. Her Great Aunt is turning 100 years old and she wanted 5 cards that would wow.  So she turned to me.  So for the past week I've been busy creating 5 cards using the Flower Market cartridge.

Card A

Card B

Card C

Card D

Card E

So these are the creations I came up with and each one is completely different from the others.  My friend was so impressed and happy with them.  I'm now just waiting to hear if the recipient loved them.  Which card is your favorite?

Hello Foxy - June SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the
Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Hello Foxy, a set of 11 stamps.  If you have come here from Melinda's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 23 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I was inspired by the artwork featured in the catalog for this Stamp Set.  For this card I started with the watercolor paper found in the Whimsy Fundamentals Collection and used the Circle Thin Cuts to cut the center out.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the cardbase in the center of the circle.  Then using Black Memento Ink I stamped the wreath and used watercolor paints to paint the flowers and leaves.  Now I enjoy fussy cutting, but it's not for everyone, so if you don't have the patience to do it, don't. I fussy cut the entire wreath out, and then using the Bonding Memories Glue I adhered it to the card.  I haven't decided if I need to add any embellishments, but I do like it as is......what is your opinion?

Now "Hop" on over to Brenda's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June SOTM is only available until 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!
