Cross Canada Blog Hop - Where we craft

Welcome to our December Blog Hop featuring Where we create. With Christmas being so close, it wasn’t fair to ask my Canadian sisters to create for the blog, so instead of taking the month off, I thought we could still do the blog hop, but feature our craft spaces.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, plus when starting from the East coast, I’m first in hop…now if you are coming from Candra's blog then you are in the right place!

Here you see my crafting desk when it is nice and clean and in order. This is just some of my storage.  I can't show you the rest as I've been digging out our Christmas decorations and it is blocking my storage.
Close up of a few of my storage units.  I have all different styles, and I purchased them at Michael's as they fit together nicely and I can use extra coupons ontop of when they are on sale.  Savings!! Whoo hoo!!!
This is where I craft when I have my girls over, in my dining room, it fits us much better and the natural lighting is awesome.

Here you see the current condition of my craft room downstairs.  A huge mess, as I finished a few projects and have neglected to clean off my crafting table.  Anyone else have this same problem?

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd. If you get lost along the way, you can come back here.

To create this cute card, I used the new Watercolor paints and layered some colours to create the vibrant colors seen.  There is no wrong way to paint with watercolors, so have fun..  I stamped the images in Memento Black Ink.  I used Sapphire cardstock for the mat.

How I prepare for Christmas is by getting all my cards made that I send out to family and friends. I send out close to 100 cards every Christmas.  Here is a sample card from the group of my cards that will soon be in the mail. Besides making my cards, I make many gifts and goodies that I give out to my kids teachers and to take to the many craft markets I attend.

November SOTM Blog Hop - Cheers, 2016!

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring November's SOTM, which is Cheers, 2016!, a set of 16 stamps.  If you have come here from the creative work of Lisa Plummer's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have approximately 37 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my card, I wanted to solely use just the stamp set, no embellishments.  I first started with a mat of Pomegranate Cardstock and layered my stamped White Daisy to the mat before adhering to my cardbase.  I used 5 stamps from the stamp set to create this randomed stamped card. I used Pomegranate, Eggplant, Sapphire and Saffron ink to stamp.  The Happy and New Year is actually 2 separate stamps. The banner is popped using 3D foam tape.

Now "Hop" on over to Wendy Kessler's Blog to see her fabulous work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Cheers, 2016! SOTM is only available until November 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!
