Welcome to our December Blog Hop featuring any 3D item from our exclusive Artiste Cricut Cartridge. In this Hop you will find that each consultant has created a 3D item of their choice from the Artiste, we were told it could be anything as long as it was a Christmas theme.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Darla at Caution: Crafting is Contagious. If you came from Darla's blog then you are in the right place!
Here is my project, I made Christmas Ornaments for my children. The mailbox is really cute at the regular size of 3" that the Artiste instructions call for, but it also got me thinking what if I cut it at half the size would I be able to make it into ornaments for the kids. Well, the answer is yes, and here is how they turned out.
So the paper used here is now retired, it is from the Believe Paper Packet, I also used some Holiday Red Cardstock, and the mini envelope is cut on Kraft Cardstock. I used a piece of hemp to make the hanger.
This picture shows the size difference between the regular size of 3" (in back) and the mini version of 1 1/2" (in front), I also placed it on an ink pad so you could see the size of the mailbox.
I was able to cut four ornaments on 1 sheet of 12x12 Believe Paper, so I made an ornament for each of my children.
I hope that you all have a Very Merry Christmas and that you simply take the time to enjoy the time you have which each of your loved ones.
