I made a series of cards as I decided I wanted to play with the new watercolor paints. I used a combination of 3 colours in each pallet I choose. Those colours are Yellow, Blue and Green. I created an ombre effect moving from lightest to darkest as I moved down the page. I tried embossing before and embossing after I had water coloured....and it really didn't make a different as long as your paper was dry before you embossed and stamped. If the paper was even mildly wet, when you stamped the ink would run,
I used sentiments from the Artfully Sent Cricut stamp, and used Black ink. Here are my cards.
This final card done in yellow, encountered a small accident. I smudged black ink, but I did not despair, as I had seen a card(store bought) that looked sort of grudge. So I tired my hand at it, and this is how it turned out....I actually really like the effect. What do you think? Leave me some love if you like this grudge effect.

Great cards. Great watercolor backgrounds and I really like how the grunge turned out on your final card.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the yellow with the accidental grunge look. :)
ReplyDeleteLove these!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow card!
ReplyDeleteLike the yellow card a lot! I think it's perfect just how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, love these cards. My favourite is the yellow grunge effect. Thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeleteReading the above comments, it's interesting how the yellow one seems to be the favourite - funny how that happens sometimes, isn't it? I love all three of them - terrific work with the watercolours.
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful - yellow is my fave!
ReplyDeleteLove your accidental grunge!
ReplyDeleteAll three are gorgeous, however....my absolute fave is the yellow "accidental" grunge card....LOVE that look...I may have to case that one!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. And the yellow one is my favourite, I love that look! :) If you had not said, I would not have known it was "accidental".
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards, great technique! The first one is my favorite.
