Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, and I'm the first stop when hopping from East Coast to West Coast.  If you have come from Janet's Blog then you are in the right place!

I used the retired Hopscotch paperpack and embellishments.  I really thought the colors were calling for spring pictures.  Where are the photos?  Well, spring is yet to arrive on the East Coast.....overnight we had snow and freezing rain, which made the roads unfit to send children to school.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Nicky, and she never disappoints.
If you get lost along the way, you can come back here to find the link.

Watercolor Blog Hop

Welcome to our Blog Hop featuring Watercolors!

We will be featuring creations using either our watercolor paints or watercolor pencils.  If you have come here from Melinda's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 30 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this watercolors and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

First I started with layering different shades of watercolor paints onto our watercolor paper.  I let them dry before stamping my image onto the paint. While I waited for the paint to dry I grabbed the Damask Embossing folder, and the circle Diffuser and ran a piece of White Dairy Cardstock through my cuttlebug.  I inked up the raised impressions with Poppy ink, and stamped the sentiment in the center with Black Ink.  The flowers and sentiment is from Blooming Expressions stamp set.

Now "Hop" on over to Catherine's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!   Contact your CTMH Consultant (or contact me) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Valentine Card that I won with

Wow, I forgot to post my Valentine Card that I created for a contest on the Close to My Heart Blog, where I was 1 of the winners.  The challenge was to create a card using La Vie En Rose paper.

Here is my card:

I used Blooming Expressions stamp set, and stamped my flowers using the colors found in the paper pack: Hollyhock, Poppy, Pomengrante and Pixie.  I fussy cut them out and layered them using 3D foam tape.  I love this Black and gold ribbon, and thought it was a nice finishing touch.

AHSC #149 You're an Original...

I've been missing the past few weeks from the creating with sickness in the house....I'm still suffering from the sinus headache, but was able to create this fun card.

I used some left over cardstock from the Avonlea paper collection, and random stamped the flower from Blossoming Expressions to create my own pattern.  I really like the color combination.

Here is the sketch for this week:

I hope you will head on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and see what creative projects the design team has to inspire you.
