CTMH September Fall/Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to OUR September Fall/ Halloween Blog Hop!  Each month we will showcasing a Theme of OUR amazing ARTISTE Cricut Cartridge which can be purchased Exclusive through your Close to My Heart Independent Consultant.
We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a awesome lineup with some amazing talented CTMH Consultants ladies.  There will be lots of fun project along the hop!
If you came from Vanessa's blog then you are in the right place!

Here is my fall table setting, I am having a Family Fall Harvest meal and thought I would make place settings for everyone, I used the New Artiste Cartirdge to make most of the project items.
Here you can see the whole place setting. There is a wineglass, waterglass, napkin, name place, and on the placemat there is a decoration. Below there are some closeups and I'll explain them for you.

To view larger, click picture
The placemat is just a piece of honey cardstock cut 12"x9", then stamped with the border stamp from the Fall Favorites SOTM Stamp Set. The pumpkin and leaf are found on page 78 of the Artiste handbook, and in the instruction manual on page 60. It is cut from Goldrush and Topiary Cardstock, I then inked the leaf with Olive and New England Ivy Ink until I got this desired effect.

To view larger, click picture
This place card is stamped on Colonial White Cardstock, again using the border stamp from the Fall Favorites SOTM. Then using our new Alcohol Markers I colored it in. The name is stamped using the Urban Alphabet and Chocolate Ink using the Swipe method. Cutting some leaves from the Art Philosophy Cartridge I colored those using the Alcohol Markers. This piece is cut at 4 1/2"x9", then using my bone folder I made score marks at 1", 4 1/2" & 8". Fold and glue the bottom together.
To view larger, click picture
This wine glass cover is actually a cupcake holder. It can be found on page 78. To keep everything in sync, I used the Border Stamp once again.

To view larger, click picture
The cover for the water glass is also found on page 78, I cut this from the shift/card feature at fit to page so that it would fit around the water glass. Then using more stamps from the Fall Favorites SOTM Stamp Set, I created this fun Fall Design. Using chocolate Ink to stamp the images in, then using the Alcohol Markers to color the pumpkins.

I so hope my table setting has inspired you to create a fun Fall Harvest Theme of your own. Happy creating! Don't forget to leave me a comment, I love comments!

For my Bracket Frame, I used this pretty blue paper from the Pemberley Paper packet, it can be found on page 68 of the current Idea Book.  I distressed the edges of the frame using Outdoor Denim Ink, by wiping the edges with a sponge.  Using the swirl stamp from the Stamp Set Best Things, I stamped in the bottom corner also using the Outdoor Denim Ink.  I then used the Pearl colored Opaques Adhesive Gems found on page 127 to add a little bling to the swirl.

For the flowers, I cut them from the Artiste Cartridge, there are 4 new 3D flowers to choose from. I cut them at 2 different sizes, 3" and 2 1/4".  Using the guilling tool from page 134 I was able to roll the flowers tight.  The colors used for the flowers are Outdoor Denim and Honey Cardstock.  I distressed the Honey Cardstock with Outdoor Denim Ink just to tone it down a little. The matting is also using the corresponding cardstock.

More Birthdays in the Forecast

September is one of the main months that we have alot of celerbrations in our family.  With family birthdays and our 5th wedding anniversary all this month, it keeps me busy.  My baby sister shares her birthday with my father.  September 20, and our anniversary falling on the 29. With their birthdays just next week I had to get creating.  So having my papers out I also made cards for my grandmother who will be turning 77 on Halloween and her twin sister.  Isn't that grand!  Well nan didn't want traditional Halloween paper used to make the cards, so we went with a fall theme, I really like how they all turned out. I used Clementine paper for the feminine cards and for my fathers card I used the retired Dreamin' paper.

So these are my latest creations, I used corresponding colors with each of the cards, and if you really like the Clementine paper, I know it's one of my favorites, then you can go to my website where you can order a package for your own use.

Just a reminder that Saturday is the first of our Cross Canada Blog Hops where we will feature many great projects from our group of CTMH ladies.  These ladies have put alot of work into creating these projects.  We will have a new project to share with you every month on the 15. Some months there will be a bonus hop.  This months project is the My Creations Bracket Frame.  Stay tuned.......

Supplies:
Autumn Terracotta Cardstock

Colonial White Cardstock
New England Ivy Ink Pad
Holiday Red Ink Pad
Honey Ink Pad
Sunset Ink Pad
Outdoor Denim Ink Pad
Chocolate Ink Pad
Indian Corn Blue Ink Pad
Chocolate Markers
Buttercup Markers
Blending Pen
Fall Favorites Stamp Set
Artiste Cartridge

To make this project I first cut the gift bag at the recommended 5" from the NEW Artiste Cartridge, found on page 79 in the booklet, and assembly instructions found on page 63. Before assembling I took the stamp and inked it with New England Ivy and stamped a random pattern all over the gift bag. After assembling I stamped the FALL tag in 2 colors, Holiday Red and New England Ivy, wiping off the color on alternate letters to achieve this affect.
The Scarecrow is stamped with Chocolate Ink, and then using a combination of makers and Ink Pads as well as the blending pen I colored in my scarecrow. When using your ink pad and Blending Pen, squeeze the ink pad while closed, it transfers color onto the inside lid, giving you color to blend with. I then cut around the scarecrow and adhered him to the tag that is cut to fit the image. I then tied a piece of ribbon through the hole to create this gift tag. I then distressed both projects by inking the edges with a combination of New England Ivy and Denim Blue Ink.

I'm the end of the line, unless you started here with me, you can click here to start at the beginning with Lucy's blog Love 2 Create.

    Avonlea Paper and some projects

Yes, I know I haven't posted anything since last week.  I've been really busy this week with back to school.  Yesterday was my oldest daughter's first day of Grade 3.  She was so excited when she got home because her BFF is in her class.  This year she is in a split class, 2/3.  Jaymee is taking French Immersion and really enjoys it, but each year her class size gets smaller and smaller which is why they split her class.

Anyway, now you know why I've been MIA.  So on with my projects.  I have 3 projects to show you today all using the Avonlea Paper.  I also used Smokey Plum Cardstock which works well with the paper.

This first project is a cute box which can be found on page 74 from the Artiste Cartridge, and assembly instructions on page 57 in the Assembly Booklet.  The flowers can be found on page 54.

So now onto my next projects, I cut a little gift bag that can be found on page 79 of the Artiste Cartridge, with assembly instructions found on page 63 in the Assembly Booklet.  I thought it looked really cute without any decoration added to it, so I left it as is.  Then I took the My Creations Card Box which can be found on page 132 of our current Idea Book, and covered it using the Smokey Plum cardstock and Avonlea Paper.

I added some Grey Sparkles to the front flap to add some fun detail, and some Clear Sparkles in the center of the flowers.  The edges are inked with Slate Ink, one of the 6 NEW colors now available.  The edges of all the paper is also inked using the Slate Ink to give it that antiqued feel.  I really love how this box turned out.

If you would like to make any of the above projects and would like more information you can contact me or you can shop with me online.
