Cross Canada Blog Hop - Yesterday & Today

Welcome to our March Blog Hop featuring artwork created using the Yesterday & Today collection. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I'm the first stop when you are hopping from East Coast to West Coast.  If you came from Kristine Ponte then you have arrived at the start of the hop.

I knew that the Dreams Take Flight stamp and thin cut set would be one that I would need to purchase, and I really liked the sample artwork from the catalog, but I thought it would look amazing on the grid pattern from the Yesterday & Today collection.  My vision didn't disappoint.  It turned out exactly perfect.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Colleen Dewis and she is here on the East Coast with me.

If you get lost along the way, you can come right back here, I've shared the completed blog hop list below.

Michelle YOU ARE HERE

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when we will be featuring artwork using the Seas the Day collection. So mark April 10th on your calendars and hop along with us.

I really fell in love with the Fairy Tale Stamp and Thin Cut set and loved the sample artwork from the catalog and decided to recreate it.  I decided that I would use the new Spectrum Noir Tri-Blends.  I added a strip of silver glitter paper under the sentiment, and added silver Stickles to the stars.  The cardstock mats are Pixie and Smoothie, and the flowers are stamped in Smoothie, the leaves in Sweet Leaf, and the sparkle on her wand in Saffron.

I have been tasked with creating a family album for my grandmother's birthday this year.  All of the family has been sending me photos for the album.  My mother is doing typing up all the details that will be attached to the photos.  My job is to create the page itself.

I distressed the cardstock pieces using a combination of Almond and Toffee ink.  The Peach cardstock also has stamping in the corners using a tone on tone effect.  You can see the stamping in the next photo.

Now "Hop" on over to  Cat Nowak to see her fabulous work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
