I had lots of fun playing with the Seas The Day paper and Scrapbooking stamp and thin cut set.  I used the Spectrum Noir markers to color the images.  The lighthouse uses the Earthbrown, the Ice Grey, Dark Red, Dull Green and Cirtrus Yellow markers.

The sailboat uses the True Blue, Ice Blue and the Dark Red markers.  For this one I wanted to used a distressing technique, so I sanded the Sapphire cardstock for a more rustic look.  I tore the sapphire to represent waves and layered them onto the tag.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd Kelly.

If you get lost along the way, you can come right back here, I've posted the full lineup.

I knew that the Dreams Take Flight stamp and thin cut set would be one that I would need to purchase, and I really liked the sample artwork from the catalog, but I thought it would look amazing on the grid pattern from the Yesterday & Today collection.  My vision didn't disappoint.  It turned out exactly perfect.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I'm the first stop on the blog hop. If you came from the fabulous artwork of Valerie then you are in the right place!

For my project I decided to create a 2 page layout.  I love Julep and Sangria together.  This collection is so pretty.  I think I might need to hoard a few packages.  The stickers are available in the collection, or you can choose to purchase the paper without the stickers(not sure why you would choose that option).  I also pulled a few wooden embellishments and added some liquid glass to secure them to my project.  The stickers that overlap the photo placements actually still have the backing on the portion that overlaps.  This was a pretty simple layout to create.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd and she always amazes me with her creations.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I'm the first stop when hopping from East Coast to West Coast. If you came from the amazing creations of Kristine then you are in the right place! Now let's get started.

For my project I wanted to use up some of the squares from cutting the Multi Square Window Thin Cut(Z4023), so I cut another in White Daisy and filled the inside squares with the Holly Jolly paper(X7250B).  So festive.  But I wasn't done there.  Next I pulled Green Apple, Smoothie and Candy Apple Ink and stamped these super cute presents from the Holly Jolly Cardmaking stamp set(C1800).  The sentiment is also from this stamp set, and is stamped in Black Ink.  I dove tailed the sentiment creating a banner, and added some doodling.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is featuring some amazing art from Rosalynd.

Cross Canada Blog Hop - Every Little Thing

Welcome to our September Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring artwork created using the Every Little Thing(ELT) collection. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you are new to our blog hop we start on the East Coast and hop across Canada to the West Coast.  If you are starting with me then you are at the first stop. If you came from the amazingly talented Kristine Ponte then you are in the right place!

I decided to make a trio of cards using various aspects from the Every Little Thing collection.  I started with the PML cards and choose 2 that I thought would make stunning card fronts.  The 3rd card I decided that I wanted to create my own background paper. Let's take a close look.

For this card I started by trimming the 4x6 PML card down to 4"x5.25".  I decided to add some shimmer to the card so I added the Clear Shimmer Brush to the flowers.  Then I added some Bitty Sparkles to the card.  I wanted the flowers to pop, so I matted the PML card on Sapphire cardstock.  The sentiment is from the ELT cardmaking workshop.  The featured exclusive stamp set in this workshop now comes with a coordinating thin cut set.

The second card using the same steps as the first card, also utilizing Sapphire cardstock for the mat, but here I used regular Sparkles on the sentiment, and I coloured the flower using the Julep Shimmer Brush.

This final card uses the ELT cardmaking & thin cut set as well as the stamp set from the card workshop.  The pattern paper is my own created background using the stamps found in the Card workshop.  I then took my waterbrush and then smooshed ink onto my all purpose mat, picking up the ink and adding it to the stamped images.  Remember when doing this technique you should use the Intense Black Ink so that the image won't bleed.  The sentiment is stamped on White Daisy cardstock. I did a light wash using Julep Ink before stamping.  The image surrounding the sentiment is popped using 3D foam tape, and is stamped on the lighter side of Wisteria cardstock.

August Cross Canada Blog Hop - Craft On

Welcome to our August Blog Hop featuring artwork created using the Craft On collection.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I am the first stop when you are hopping from the East Coast to the West Coast. If you came from Kristine's Blog then you are in the right place!

For my project I choose to create a layout using Craft On.  I wanted to highlight the colour in in the photo and pulling the Raspberry was a perfect match.  I used the Stitched Flower Thin Cuts for embellishment, and used up some left over letters in my stash as well as the Alphabet Thin Cuts to create my title. The scallop is the reverse of the backgroung paper, and the black and white plaid is the zipstrip from the same page.  The Pink tone on tone with hearts is also from the Craft On collection.  I pulled that colour to create the flowers as well as Lemon Cardstock which is also used to mat the photo.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Sheena.

For my project I decided to create the layout from page 35 using the Something Fierce paper and scrapbooking stamp set.  I used multiple patterns from this collection, and cut some pieces from the Cut-apart sheet.  I didn't create it exactly as featured in the catalog, but like how it came together.  We will be visiting Universal Studios in Florida next September, and will use photos from Jurassic World to finish this layout.  Figure I'll work ahead since I have the perfect paper to plan for those layouts.  LOL.

I just fell in love with this paper collection and the Ugly Sweater stamp set, I just couldn't get enough and designed 4 variations for my Christmas Card Buffets. My children couldn't get over that they are called ugly sweater's, they kept telling me that they were too cute to be ugly.  I pulled the colours for stamping from the paper collection, using Mint, Lagoon, Raspberry, Clover and Pixie.

For my project I decided to use Grateful Hearts paper and the coordinating Stamp set.  I have fallen in love with Shaker Cards, and decided that I would use the heart confetti thin cut to create extra pieces for inside the shaker.  I used Pomegranate and Sapphire cardstock for this, and pulled some out to add embellishment for on the card.  I used the Gold sequins for the inside of the shaker as well. The outer ring for the shaker is also Pomegranate and the sentiment is stamped in the same color.  I also utilized the zip strip from the pattern paper.  The butterfly is colored with Golden Yellow and Marigold Shinhan Alcohol Markers. To finish off the sentiment, I dove tailed to create a banner and added some doodles.
