I just love this Blossom Patterned Paper, and decided I wanted to create a Spring card using the flowers found in the Blossom Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kit.  Aren't these flowers just fabulous. I used the Pear Ink to stamp the stems, and then used Lagoon and Smoothie Ink to stamp the first layer of flower in second generation, then stamped the second layer in first generation. The centers of the flowers are stamped with Canary.  The sentiment is stamped in Archival Black ink, and I masked the stamp so that I could stamp it in 2 locations. I used Glacier Thick Twine and the Coral Reef Sequins to dress the card up.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd Kelly and she always has amazing art to share.

If you get lost along the way you can come back here, below I have the entire blog hop list for you.

AHSC #103 Hoping for spring

This winter is just lasting way to long.  I've not seen my front lawn at all....and probably won't until the end of April at least.  Which means my flower beds will stay buried until then too.  So the only way I'm going to see spring flowers is to decorate my cards with flowers.

Here is the sketch for this week:

I had fun playing with this sketch, and decided to omit the sentiment as I wasn't sure what it's purpose would be.  I used the Shower Flowers stamp once again, stamping a border of flowers across the bottom.  I then used the honeycomb embossing folder to create the honeycomb pattern across the entire background.  I love that CTMH had brought back some of Jeanette's stamps from when they were wood mount.

The stamp I used is Pick a Posy (B1426), which is now reitred. I used the Blossom paper and White Daisy cardstock for the mat as I fussy cute the cute girl out. I used 3D foam tape to adhere this to the card, and used Glacier Thick Twine for the wrap. The flowers are stamped in Sunset and Smoothie ink and the leaves and grass are in Pear ink.

I hope you will head over to Atlantic Hearts to see what the design team has created to inspire you this week.

Brae-er's Team Blog Hop - SE2

Welcome to another Team Brae-er Blog Hop where we are excited to show you creations featuring products from the newest edition of Seasonal Expressions.  I have favorites, and if you have been following my blog you probably have a good idea what products I'm going to show you.

If you have come here from the awesome artwork of Jessica then you are moving in the right direction. Our hop of 7 team members might not be a long one, but it will be sure to leave you inspired.

Here is my creation:

I love the new Blossom paper, and the flowers found in Shower Flower(C1612) pair up perfect with the paper.  I stamped the flowers using first and second generation, and layered them, in Glacier, Lagoon, Smoothie and Sunset. The leaves are stamped in Pear.  I layered the zipstrip onto the reverse of the flower pattern and stamped the sentiment in Lagoon Pigment ink and heat set it with Clear Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the stamp set Finding the Words(D1646). I also used the Scallop Embossing folder from the Annual Inspirations catalog to add dimension to the card.

Your next stop along this hop is Tamara, and you will find her creative style has lots of flair.

You can purchase these products along with anything featured along the hop from your local consultant or you can start shopping here.

What makes you happy? AHSC # 102

I'm still not sure how we managed to get to sketch #102 already, it just seems like yesterday that I was still in the planning phase of creating the sketch challenge and doodling sketches in my notebook.

Anyway, I changed up the sketch a little as I stamped my sentiment in the matted section of my card instead of directly on my base piece.  I am always second guessing myself, and might try a different sentiment that isn't quite so large and recreate this one again......but all I know is that I love to craft and teach others this passion of mine.....it is what makes me happy.

Here is this weeks sketch:

Here is my card:

I used the Blossom paper and coordinating colors to create this card. The flower and sentiment are from the Stamp Set Wavy Blooms (D1651) and were colored with ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Markers.  I used the Thick Twine in Glacier for my embellishment and stamped the sentiment in Black Ink.  To create the scallop border on the mat I used the scallop border punch and used 3D foam tape to pop the mat and the flower.

I hope you will head on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and visit the creations from my Design Team.

Seasonal Expressions Vol.2 Blog Hop

Welcome to Seasonal Expressions Volume 2 Blog Hop.  We will be featuring new product from this new release which is now available for you to order.

You will find loads of inspiration from our consultants, with over 40 of us participating. If you have come from the amazing artwork of Gina then you are hopping in the right direction.  If you happen to get lost along the way you can head back to Melinda's blog to find the complete list of hoppers.

Now onto my artwork.  I really fell in love with so many products from this new catalog that I really didn't know what I was going to create with until I sat down. I decided that I wanted to make something for each of my dinner quests over the weekend.  My parents came up for Easter Dinner and so I needed to make 7 little decorations.

I went through my stash and discovered that I had a bunch of styrofoam eggs left from my Christmas decorating that were unopened.  Then I dug out the new thick twine we now carry along with Liguid Glass.

Here is my Easter decoration!

It was a little time consuming, and very sticky, but I love my twine eggs.   This one is made with the Thistle Twine, but I also made some with Glacier and the colors from the first edition.

Thank you for visiting, your next stop along this blog hop is the exceptionally awesome creations from Michele Rowley.(There are so many Michelle's hopping it's hard to keep them straight).

If you see anything along our hop that catches your eye, please contact your local consultant,(or contact me) to place an order.

Thanks so very much

As some of my followers might know, last week over on my Sketch Challenge blog, we celebrated our 100th sketch.  I made this weeks card to say thank you to my Design Team and to all those who entered and commented on our blogs.

We love seeing your creations every week, and we love to receive "blog love" (comments) just as much as you do on your comments.

Here is this weeks sketch:

My Thank you Card:

I first started with a piece of White Daisy Cardstock and I heat embossed some leaves and stems in Pear pigment ink directly onto the cardstock. I then stamped some smaller flowers in Sunset and Smoothie Ink.  On some scraps I stamped the larger flowers in Glacier, Lagoon, Smoothie and Sunset Ink, and the leaves in Pear and fussy cut them out and layered them.  I added some sequins and stamped the sentiment in Lagoon. The flowers are from the Stamp set Shower Flowers (C1612), and the sentiment is from Finding the Words (D1646).  Both these stamp sets are now orderable from the new Seasonal Expressions catalog that goes live today (April 1st).

Now if you want to see some more fabulous creations from our design team then head on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, you will also find our Top 3 entrants from last week, and a list of our winners from our Blog Candy giveaway.
