Welcome to our New Product Blog Hop featuring products from the September/October catalog! If you have come here from CatScrapbooking, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have approximately 15 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using new great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For my project for tonight's blog hop I played with the Pumpkin Spice paper, Papaya and Harbour Cardstock as well as the Papaya, Harbour and Shortbread inks.  The Sweater is from the Pumpkin Spice Scrapbooking stamp set and was coloured using ink pads and the medium waterbrush.  I squeezed ink into the bottom of the ink pad and used the waterbrush to pick up colour. By using this technique I was able to control the intensity of the colour on the sweater by creating much different tones.  I tore the cardstock to create a fun look and used the sentiment from For All Occassions found in our Core Catalog.
Now "Hop" on over to Wendy Kessler's blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can purchase these fabulous new products!

This first card I masked the center of the card so that I only stamped the border with the bouquet that the girl is carrying.  All images for all 3 cards are coloured with the Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I ended up smudging some ink from my fingers onto the card so I decided to layer the girl overtop the card base.

I was inspired by a card on pinterest that I had saved a few months ago, and I was so happy to be able to utilize the design here.

I just love how the look of this stamp set changes when you change the colours used.  I had a rectangle stitched mat left over from another project and I was excited that it fit this project.

January Cross Canada Blog Hop - Spruced Up

Welcome to our January Blog Hop featuring artwork created using the Spruced Up collection. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I'm the first stop on the blog hop. If you came from the fabulous artwork of Valerie then you are in the right place!

For my project I decided to create a 2 page layout.  I love Julep and Sangria together.  This collection is so pretty.  I think I might need to hoard a few packages.  The stickers are available in the collection, or you can choose to purchase the paper without the stickers(not sure why you would choose that option).  I also pulled a few wooden embellishments and added some liquid glass to secure them to my project.  The stickers that overlap the photo placements actually still have the backing on the portion that overlaps.  This was a pretty simple layout to create.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Rosalynd and she always amazes me with her creations.

If you get lost along the way, you can come right back here to find the next link!

Michelle You Are Here!

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when we will be featuring artwork using the Celebrate Today collection. So mark February 10th on your calendars and hop along with us.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop and I'm the first stop when hopping from East Coast to West Coast. If you came from the amazing creations of Kristine then you are in the right place! Now let's get started.

For my project I wanted to use up some of the squares from cutting the Multi Square Window Thin Cut(Z4023), so I cut another in White Daisy and filled the inside squares with the Holly Jolly paper(X7250B).  So festive.  But I wasn't done there.  Next I pulled Green Apple, Smoothie and Candy Apple Ink and stamped these super cute presents from the Holly Jolly Cardmaking stamp set(C1800).  The sentiment is also from this stamp set, and is stamped in Black Ink.  I dove tailed the sentiment creating a banner, and added some doodling.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is featuring some amazing art from Rosalynd.
If you get lost along the way, you can come right back here, I'm sharing the complete blog list:

Michelle  YOU ARE HERE

This first card was made using the True Love collection.  I had a few pieces left of the cut apart sheet, and it looked really fancy, so I trimmed along the lace and used that as a decorative piece. The sentiment is stamped in Sapphire Ink and is also a piece from the cut apart sheet.  The flower is from the Stitched Flower Thin Cut, and the colours are Sugarplum and Fern.  The flower and sentiment is popped using 3D Foam Tape.  I also added some Rose Gold Sequins.

For the second card I created I dug into some scraps from Sweet Girl, I used the Border Thin Cuts(sold out sorry), to create the grass, it is a fringe cut.  Totally awesome right.  Again, I used the cut apart sheet, that is where you will find this awesome hedgehog.  The sentiment is stamped in Black ink, and I doodled using the journalling pen.  Again I added some Rose Gold sequins.

I decided I wanted a soft looking card to give to my best friend, just because, and May's SOTM fit the bill.  I used the sentiment "I could not ask for a better friend" because she has seen me at my best and at my worst and still loves me just the way I am.  The Sweet Girl paper collection fit the soft look I was going for.  I used Ballerina and Sapphire ink for my stamping, and I used Mink and Peach cardstock along with the Sweet Girl paper.  I also used a piece of vellum to soften the bottom layer.  For some detail I used the new Lace Border Thin Cut on the Peach cardstock.

For my project I decided to do a page for my daughter's scrapbook.  This layout is using So Much Happy paper, mainly scraps left over from creating the workshops.  I used the Stitched Squares to create a quilt like pattern.  The photos show some fun times at the Discovery Center where my daughter's class went on their class trip.

I used Sapphire and Willow cardstock for my mats.  I used Sapphire Ink for my stamping.

For my project I wanted to keep it simple, so I used the new watercolor pencils, and I really love how smoothly they color images, and the blend together seamlessly.  To blend the colors I used the clear Shimmer Brush because I wanted that shimmer on the card.  The image is a bit larger than an A2 card, so I decided to create a frame for the image using the new Rectangle Thin Cuts.  The final touches were adding some clear gems.  The frame is cut from the pink stripe paper in the Something Fierce collection.

Here is a close up to see the shimmer on the banner and the flowers.  You can also see the tones of color in the banner and on the large pink flowers.

Welcome to our Happy Heart Happy Blog Hop!

Image may contain: text

We will be featuring artwork featuring the Heart Happy promotion which is available until February 28th(*while supplies last).  If you have come here from Laurel Seabrook, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have approximately 17 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using these amazing promotional product along with other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I created 2 cards using some leftovers from the Heart Happy Workshop.  I really like that there is so much left for us to create with after the layouts, cards and tags.  I decided that I wanted to keep it simple.  For the card on the left I used the sentiment from the cut apart paper. I cut the words apart and added them to a mat that I had cut using the new Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts.  What is great about these dies is that it cuts the frame and the mat with stitching for both pieces all at the same time.  I used the frame piece in Sapphire for both the frame for the card and the mat.  To add some more detail I stamped the Hearts from the coordinating stamp set in Ballerina and Raspberry.

The second card is using the sapphire mat from the card on the left. I then layered the grid paper ontop of the stitched mat, stamped the sentiment in Sapphire, and the arrow is stamped in Raspberry.

Now "Hop" on over to Lauren Moore to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, this promotion is only available until February 28th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can purchase these products.
