For my project I wanted to keep it simple, so I used the new watercolor pencils, and I really love how smoothly they color images, and the blend together seamlessly.  To blend the colors I used the clear Shimmer Brush because I wanted that shimmer on the card.  The image is a bit larger than an A2 card, so I decided to create a frame for the image using the new Rectangle Thin Cuts.  The final touches were adding some clear gems.  The frame is cut from the pink stripe paper in the Something Fierce collection.

Here is a close up to see the shimmer on the banner and the flowers.  You can also see the tones of color in the banner and on the large pink flowers.

I am really loving the Making Waves collection, and so I used 3 patterns from this collection, some purple gems and the Making Waves shimmer trim to complete this fun birthday card.  The card design comes from the New Edition of Make It From Your Heart, Volume 4.  It is card design # 12.  I used Peacock Ink to stamp the sentiment, the images are stamped in Willow and Pansy.  I fussy cut the flower and pieced it ontop.  The Banner is popped using 3D foam tape.

Now Available Making Waves 1 Sheet Wonder 20 Card Workshop

I'm so very excited to be announcing the release of my Making Waves 1 Sheet Wonder 20 Card Workshop.

This workshop is different from my other workshops as I am only using 1 Stamp Set, the February SOTM, Sunny Thoughts.  I really loved the simplicity of this stamp set, and thought it paired very well with the Making Waves collection.

I decided to keep the designs very simple so that you could switch out the stamps and replace with other stamps easily.

What I love about this workshop is that there are 5 designs, with 4 of each card being created.  That means that you as a consultant can teach this workshop in a number of ways.  You can have 1 cutting guide per person, so they would create 20 cards.  You could have it for 2 people, they would each create 10 cards, 2 of each design, or you could teach it to 4 people, creating 1 of each design.

It's really up to you.  Now lets have a closer look at each card.

I wanted to keep my card simple so that it would be easy to remake, as I plan on using this for an upcoming card class.  I started by stamping a whole sheet of the bunnies to color.

I really like to color, it is very relaxing.  So after getting my bunnies all colored, I fussy cut them all out.  Then I choose a paper collection to work with, I chose Hello Lovely, and decided to use Sorbet cardstock and the quatrefoil embossing folder.  I layered a piece of Hello Lovely on the botton, and used some gold shimmer trim.  I had some ovals that I had cut from a friends die cuts left over and thought it fit perfect. Stamped the sentiment and popped the oval onto the card using Foam Tape.  I also popped the bunny and if you look closely, you will see a slight shadow on the left side.
