Teachers gifts for Year End

So, with the school year coming to a close, I was really not sure what to give my daughter's teachers for year-end gifts.  Then the more I thought about it, I realized that I had everything in my home to make them a gift this year.  First I came across a multi-pack of notebooks that I had picked up for writing down ideas.  I decided that I would cover it with some pretty paper, and make a matching card and envelope.

This is what my finished product looks like.

To make the notebook, I measured the paper so that I had about 3/4" around the outside so that I had enough to fold it over and glue down to the inside cover.  Then I made slits at each corner so that I could fold in the corners to make a nice seam.  At the binding, I just trimmed the paper away before I started the back cover so that it fits without bunching.  Make sure before you glue the back cover that you can  close the book nicely.....you might want to close the book mark where the paper lies and then glue from that point, this will give it a nice fit, and the cover won't warp.

The flowers are cut from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge (I swear that I use it for every project), at different sizes, then layered.  Next you place a bling in the center, and then fold up the edges to give the flowers dimension.  I stamped NOTES using Lagoon Ink and the Urban Alphabet.

The card is 3x3 from the Art Philosophy cartidge, I also cut the envelope  too.  Next I took the scrappaper left over from the notebook and cut a 2x3" piece and glued it to the card, using corresponding paper, I cut a 1/2"x3" piece and ran it along the larger piece, took a  flower and glued that down towards the bottom.  The sentiment is in Lagoon Ink, and is from the Petite Perks Stamp Set, and is stamped on a 1x1" square.

The envelope used the same corresponding paper to make a foe ribbon.  To make this you make score lines at 1" and 1/2" all the way along a 10" piece.  Then you fold and glue to create this foe ribbon.  The Thank you sentiment is from the For My Friend Stamp Set also using the Lagoon Ink.  All the paper is from the Dotty For You paper pack from May's promotion.
