Welcome to our February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month's stamp set from Close to My Heart is "Home Sweet Home" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from February 1 - 28, 2013.  You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create .

If you came from Ryan of Piece and Paper then you are in the right place!

My project today is this cute wooden frame I had lying around the house(a purchase I made months ago, and never did anything with it).  My favorite paper packet is For Always, I just love how you can pair any color with it, and it will look amazing.  I used the Home Sweet Home stamp from the SOTM stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment on our new Glitter Paper using Versamark Ink, and added Black Embossing powder.  Then I heat set it!  I must admit, wasn't sure if it would work, so I did a test piece first......happy to say it works, you can heat emboss on the Glitter paper.
My pinwheel flower is actually scraps that I cut into strips and then scored at every 1/2 inch.  Then folded and then using my Liquid Glass pasted together, before adhering to the frame I cut points on the pinwheel to give it a little more flare.  Next I added 2-1 1/4" circles that I stamped on using our Black Ink and the Love Blooms stamp set.  Took a piece of the Black Tulle and a decorative brad to finish it off.  The 2 smaller flowers were cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.

This flower is just a flower shape found on the Art Philosophy Cartridge, on page 41.  I scored at every petal, and creased, each layer is cut 1/4 smaller then the layer beneath. I added a circle cut of Black Tulle between the middle and top layer, and added 2 circle cuts of Tulle on top, connecting everything with a pewter brad. I then crunched the one layer of tulle to add dimension.

Here is another view

This is a close up of the heat embossing of the sentiment.  I think you can see a little of the shine that is created when you heat emboss.  I hope you liked my For Always Home Sweet Home Frame.  I know I love it!
