For my project, I pulled out the Canary Cardstock from the Cardstock package, using the lighter side of this color.  I decided that I wanted to use the dotted vellum and wasn't sure how to incorporate it, so I pulled out Volume 3 of Make It From Your Heart and found layout that I could use. I used pattern 6 and rotated the design.  I used a zipstrip for the piece between the vellum and pattern paper.  I stamped my title in Smoothie ink, for a tone on tone look, added some stamped Hibiscus flowers and doodling and all done.

I've been busy creating using this paper and stamp set, and today I'm going to share with you the 1st layout I've created using this stunning paper and coordinating stamp.

I stamped the flowers in Pixie Ink, and using both Pixie and Pomegranate Inks and my waterbrush I painted more ink onto the stamped flowers blending the 2 colors to create the beautifully flowers.  Usint the stamp technique I've also painted the leaves using New England Ivy Ink. Staying in the same color, the mats for the photos are Pixie cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped in Black Ink, and then I colored the silver sequins using pink and purple markers to coordinate with the colors in the paper.

Brae-er's Team Blog Hop - Taste of Summer

Welcome to my blog...and the Brae-er's Team Blog Hop.  This month we are happy to be showcasing the Taste of Summer Paper celebrating National Scrapbooking Month. If you have just finished visiting with Jessica then you are hopping along in the right direction.  

I've made 2 cute cards following cutting instructions from Make it From Your Heart Volume 2.  Here are my cards.

For both my cards, I used the current Operation Smile Stamp Set, Happy Everything (D1653). For the first card I stamped the balloons directly on the card and then on scraps of the patterned papers.  I fussy cut them out and then adhered them to the stamped images on the card. Aren't the colors bright and fun.

For my second card I used the White Shimmer Trim, and colored it with the ShinHan Touch Twin Markers, The color I used was Marigold.  The sentiment is layered on Sweetleaf cardstock.

My first photo is showcasing some Birthday cards (I can never have enough of these), so I made a set of 5 to have on hand.  I used a pattern found in the Originals How to Book,
Balance it out found on pg 102.  I love how quickly this cards came together.  Besides the paper found in this paper pack, I used Lagoon CS for the mat, and White Daisy to stamp my sentiment from.  The sentiment comes from Joyful Birthday(B1419), and is stamped in Lagoon Ink.  I then added some Aqua Dots to finish the card.

My second photo is showing a super fun card that was featured on one of Artbooking Videos because we use the overlay found on page 61 and sized it to 5 1/4" for this 6x6 card.  I then used the overlay to create a stencil so that I could see exactly where to lay my paper pieces.  The overlay and paper pieces are matted on a piece of Lagoon CS before being adhered to the card.  Then I cut a 2x2" square of White Daisy to stamp the sentiment found on the stamp set Inspirational Flourishes(C1581) which is stamped in Ruby Ink.
